Minnesota Vikings' E.J. Henderson: Players took offense to praise for Panthers
Vikings linebacker E.J. Henderson played a tremendous game, finishing with 12 tackles, including three for loss. Henderson said his aggressive, hard hitting was the result of his coaches, who had touted Carolina's running-back tandem of Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams.
"They really pumped them up, like Jim Brown was coming in here," Henderson said. "We took pride in it all week, saying we were going to stop the run. I'm looking forward to going into work tomorrow, looking at the tape, looking at how many rushes they put and tell the coaches, 'I told you so.' "
Henderson said the Vikings' defensive players took offense to the praise his coaches gave opposing players.
"Especially me and Pat (Williams)," Henderson said.
