Favre Brings Home Another Award
Brett Favre is usually holed up in Mississippi this time of the year, trying to decide whether or not he will play in the upcoming season.
But on Wednesday, the Packers quarterback appeared in Phoenix to take part in the pre-Super Bowl hype.
Favre was there to pick up his trophy for the FedEx Air Player of the Year, beating out Tom Brady and Tony Romo for the award.
Running back Fred Taylor of the Jacksonville Jaguars was named the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Year.
He beat out Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and San Diego Chargers running back La Dainian Tomlinson.
FedEx will donate $25,000 to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation and Wolfson Children's Hospital (Baptist), the local children's hospitals in each player's market.
In addition, Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation in Arizona will receive a $25,000 donation during the week of Super Bowl XLII.
